HOLY SHIT I NEVER NOTICED THIS PARALLEL AHHHHHHHHHH.

I DON’T THINK ANYBODY DID UNTIL LIKE THE 25TH BILLION TIME OF WATCHING IT

The beautiful part of any ensemble, any great ensemble, is the fact that each character has a journey within the story. And I believe that the ultimate theme of each character in The Avengers was to know their place. Cap finds his place in not only The Avengers, but in a world far removed from the one he knows. Tony Stark embraces himself as a hero to defend what is right, as opposed to simply defending his interests. The Black Widow, as a spy, is someone who stands for nothing save herself and the The Avengers give her that something that make her actions justified. Hawkeye is the only true Avenger, as his story brings him something to actually avenge. While the others were just made the fool by Loki, he was actually controlled and used to contribute to Loki’s plan. The Hulk found his place as part of The Avengers to help the world as both The Hulk and as Banner, rather than cancelling himself out by using the Banner side to subdue and keep The Hulk side in check; which ultimately does help others as far as safety, but takes Banner away from actually using his intellect to make the world better. Thor was shown that there were threats even to a god that the world needed protection from; which was odd since the greatest threat came from a member of his team. Even Nick Fury (Jr?) was shown his place from the leader that put them together to serve as soldiers, to realizing that he was among those that needed protection and that The Avengers are more than just soldiers- they are superheroes.
